Las Vegas Hotels
Las Vegas has tons of hotels to choose from. Here is a summary of hotels we visited, including details about the one we stayed in Circus Circus;

Aladdin
Bally's Resort Nice hotel, central, good prices, great services.
Barbary Coast
Bellagio Exquisite, our top pick for inviting lobby and gardens, unbelievably pricy.
Caesars Palace Beautiful, construction is distracting, great shows, central but pricy.
Circus Circus The place for kids, good hotel value, far from the main strip.
Excalibur Nice hotel, central, lots of boys stuff, pricy
Flamingo we ranked this as best location and value for money
Harrah's Great outdoor music and eating area, central.
Luxor Egyptian theme. Cool for kids and adults, central.
Mandalay Bay Enormous, spacious, pricy.
MGM Grand Good value, central.
Mirage Georgous hotel, home of the white tigers. Central but unbelievabably pricy.
Monte Carlo Adult oriented, central.
New York-New York Fun place for kids, central.
Paris France theme. Beautiful, casino felt small, central.
Sahara Interesting, reasonable, far from the main hotels.
Stardust Reasonable prices
The Venetian Italian theme. Exquisite, pricy, lots of people selling time shares in the Grand Canal Shoppes.
Treasure Island Nice central location, great nightly free show.
Tropicana Nice place, central, adult oriented.

Downtown Hotels - I would not recommend staying downtown. Outside of Freemont Street we didn't feel safe. There are a lot of vagrants, litter and a general feeling of desperation.
